Our Journey

In the heart of this mining powerhouse, Fridgy emerged as more than an idea. It's a story of ambition, endurance and the Aussie spirit. Inspired by the rugged beauty of the Pilbara, our journey began with a vision – to create something as enduring as the iron ore that sails through this iconic port.

Our stainless steel and copper insulated drink bottles aren't just containers; they're vessels of Aussie dreams. Crafted for the rugged terrains and our hardest working Aussies, these bottles are a reflection of the durability ingrained in the very fabric of this town.

In Port Hedland, where financial setups for families are built on the backbone of industry, Fridgy found its roots. The dream of providing a reliable companion for those who work in the toughest of environments. From the workshops to the port, from camping under the starlit sky to casting a line into the azure waters, Fridgy bottles have become a symbol of reliability, just like the town that birthed them.

Port Hedland, a place where dreams match the strength of its iconic iron ore skyline. Here's to Fridgy, a brand rooted in the red earth, when you carry a Fridgy, know that it embodies the resilience and hard work you stand for.

Port Hedland, a town where dreams are as vast as the Pilbara horizon. As the world's largest export point for iron ore, this coastal gem not only fuels global industries but also serves as the cradle of Aussie dreams. Against the backdrop of endless iron ore trains and maritime marvels, Port Hedland offers more than just a bustling port – it's a gateway to opportunities and a testament to resilience.

Honouring Our Roots

After our 2 year plan turned into 11, next week marks the McCormack families final week living in Hedland. We have had an amazing time living here and have made awesome friends, some who are now scattered all over Australia. It’s true when they say that Port Hedland friends become like family! It’s also true when some say that it’s the land of opportunity for those that want to work hard. I personally have found there is no better place to get ahead in life and prosper.

For my family and I, our roots are deeply embedded here and even though we will be living in Perth, our businesses (Oresome air and Fridgy) will continue to operate in Port Hedland like usual, so we will be regular visitors.

Oresome air is in safe hands with our business partners Dylan and Sophie Targett at the helm, along with my nephew Jared Targett and Port Hedland office manager Jodie Welsh also supported by the rest of our all residential Pilbara team.

For Fridgy, 2024 comes with some exciting news as we are in the final stages of setting up our warehouse in Balcatta. This will be our primary location for bulk orders however our Hedland office will still be open for walk ins and small custom orders.
The 24th of December will be our last orders for 2023 as we make the move with the expected reopening around the 15th of Jan.

Thank you to all the other local businesses big and small as well as the individuals that have supported us over the years. The support other businesses show by using local when possible is nothing short of extraordinary.
